Job Description:
We are seeking experienced Respiratory Therapists (RRT/CRT) to join the Respiratory Therapy Services team at our facility. This role involves working with a very acute patient population, primarily adults in ICU and PCU settings. You will provide comprehensive respiratory care using advanced ventilators, specialty gases, and therapeutic devices, ensuring high-quality care in a Level I Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center environment.
Responsibilities
Deliver respiratory care therapies: ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, cough assist, MetaNeb/IPV, nebulizer/MDI, high-flow O₂, and specialty gases (Nitric Oxide, Heliox).
Perform ABGs, assist with intubation, weaning, and extubation.
Manage bronchodilators and oxygen therapy devices.
Provide ICU/PCU patient care with caseloads of 16–22.
Collaborate with physicians and the clinical team in a 24/7 environment.
Document all care in EPIC EMR.
Float as needed across hospital units.
Requirements
Certification: RRT or CRT, BLS required.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute care/ICU respiratory therapy experience (no 1-year travelers).
Skills: Ventilator management, ABG sampling/analysis, intubation support, CPAP/BiPAP, nebulizer therapy, ICU patient care.
Technology: Required EPIC EMR experience; familiarity with Servo‑U, Servo‑I, Hamilton ventilators; NOxBox (Nitric Oxide delivery); V60 BiPAP/CPAP systems.
