Position Description Manage development & production of the Gulf Companies proposals in response to client solicitations.
Essential Functions
Review RFPs/RFIs & develop the proposal matrix with schedule milestones for the proposal content & preparation that fully complies with the request
Interface with both internal functional groups & external stakeholders to compile the required proposal information
Monitor & report on proposal production, ensuring completion of all proposal requirements to meet RFP deadlines
Compile/Prepare final documents & complete the review & approval process
Preserve all electronic files & ensure the final, submitted proposal is logged & subsequently archived
Ensure proposal data is accurate & up to date in the proposal database
Support periodic corporate registration/certification/licensing issues that typically arise for both domestic & international
Requirements Qualifications
10 - 15 years of experience in oil and gas engineering and/or construction or related industry with previous involvement in proposal preparation desirable
Understanding of engineering & design process and deliverables in order to provide input during proposal development· Excellent written & verbal communication skills
Strong leadership, management & motivational skills
Ability to multi-task and manage numerous activities concurrently
Strong computer skills & knowledge of software programs including MS Office suite (advanced computer skills desirable)
Education
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Marketing or Administration or a commensurate combination of education & experience required (Master’s degree preferred)
Competencies
Excellent written & verbal communication skills
Ability to resolve conflicts while working independently & collaboratively
Thorough understanding of the industry supply chain processes & terminologies
Work Environment/Physical Demands
Working conditions are normal for an office environment
Frequently sitting & operating a computer
Must be able to use body members to work, move or carry objects or office materials
Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally
Physical demands requirements are at levels of those for sedentary work
