Brand and Membership Manager Overview:
Trout National represents a new generation of private golf clubs — where world‑class golf meets curated experiences, and every detail reflects a deeper sense of community and place. The Brand and Membership Manager plays a central role in shaping how the Club grows, communicates, and connects — ensuring that every current and prospective member interaction reflects the Club’s standards and spirit. This position blends strategy, relationship development, and thoughtful brand leadership to help define and sustain the Club’s culture. It will report directly to the General Manager and Chief Operating Officer of Trout National.
The Opportunity The role is equal parts strategic and personal — a chance to help shape the culture and momentum of a private club from the inside out. You will be the voice and vibe‑setter of Trout National, blending storytelling with sharp strategy to make every member and guest experience feel unmistakably ours.
Key Responsibilities
Steward the Club’s brand — ensuring consistency in tone, visuals, and voice across all communications and experiences.
Guide the development of materials and digital touchpoints that authentically reflect the Club’s vision and values.
Serve as an internal brand voice, ensuring that messaging and member interactions uphold a sense of discretion, sophistication, and belonging.
Collaborate with the Head Golf Professional and retail team to provide brand insights and guidance on merchandise selections, presentation, and overall retail experience.
Be part of the staff onboarding process to ensure all current and future staff understand the Club’s culture.
Membership Management
Oversee all aspects of the membership pipeline — from prospecting and introductions to onboarding and retention.
Maintain close coordination with Club leadership to identify and qualify prospective members who fit the culture and community.
Track member mix, category utilization, and trends to inform strategic decisions.
Communications and Member Relations
Manage all membership communications — from personalized outreach and onboarding materials to key Club updates.
Partner with leadership to articulate the Club’s story to prospective members, partners, and media as needed.
Support the member experience through proactive communication, relationship‑building, and high‑touch engagement.
Oversee the strategy, tone and consistency of the Club’s digital presence to reflect the Club’s understated luxury and exclusivity.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in membership development, sales strategy, communications, or brand management — ideally in private clubs, hospitality, or luxury real estate.
Background and/or general knowledge in golf preferred.
Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills; able to engage thoughtfully with discerning audiences.
Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
Strategic mindset with the ability to balance long‑term growth and day‑to‑day execution.
Understanding of luxury service standards and discretion.
Employment Type Full-time, on-site
Compensation Commensurate with experience.
