Hallmark Cards is seeking a Part‑Time Field Merchandiser in Dana Point, CA. You will work independently, demonstrating excellent organization and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark in stores.
Job Overview As a Field Merchandiser, you will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations as needed. Occasionally you may also work with other products from other companies in the stores you service.
Salary and Schedule Details
Hourly pay: $17.00–$19.00, based on skills and experience.
Eligible for annual pay increases.
Part‑time position with a variable schedule.
Average weekly hours: 15–16.
Availability required the week before and after major holidays, including weekends.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Day‑to‑day engagement: Use a mobile device to restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark inventory. Communicate with your supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and complete required surveys. Maintain professional interaction with store employees, managers, and customers.
Holiday support: During peak seasonal demand (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas), additional days and extended hours may be required, including holiday work.
Department resets: Participate in installations and relocation of Hallmark fixtures, card departments, and product displays. Typically notified two weeks in advance; assignments may include evenings or weekends.
Team collaboration: Support other merchandisers within Hallmark’s field organization as needed.
Physical Requirements Physically demanding; must lift/push/pull/drag cartons, merchandise, and fixtures up to 30 pounds daily and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Must kneel, squat, walk, stand, and sometimes climb stairs or ladders.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum 18 years old.
Read, write, and understand English.
Lift/carry up to 30 pounds regularly, 50 pounds occasionally.
Operate a digital handheld device to read documents and interpret information.
Access a Wi‑Fi network and the internet.
Consistent transportation to travel between assigned stores.
