Please Note: This is a Utah-based hybrid position which will require some regular in-office days each week. Additionally, employment with BambooHR is contingent on passing both a background and credit check.

As an Account Expansion Executive at BambooHR, you’ll partner with existing customers to help them get more value from their BambooHR investment. You’ll identify growth opportunities, lead consultative sales conversations, and guide customers toward solutions that support their evolving business needs.

In this role, you’ll work closely with Account Executives, Customer Success, and other cross‑functional partners to drive expansion, retention, and long‑term customer satisfaction. You’ll manage moderately complex deal cycles, build value‑driven recommendations, and grow trusted relationships with key customer stakeholders. Responsibilities

Drive Expansion Revenue:

You’ll own expansion opportunities within a book of business of customers, identifying where BambooHR can support their next stage of growth. Through thoughtful, value‑based selling, you’ll recommend solutions that help customers get more from their investment while driving meaningful revenue impact.

Conduct Consultative Sales Conversations:

You’ll lead conversations that go beyond product features to understand what really matters to customers. By diagnosing challenges and connecting solutions to real business outcomes, you’ll build and present recommendations that feel relevant, clear, and compelling.

Stakeholder Engagement:

You’ll build relationships with the people involved in buying decisions, from day‑to‑day managers to senior leaders. You’ll learn how to navigate multiple perspectives, keep conversations moving forward, and build trust throughout the deal cycle.

Guide the Buying Process:

You’ll help customers feel confident as they evaluate options and make decisions. By anticipating questions, addressing objections thoughtfully, and clearly outlining next steps, you’ll move opportunities toward close in a way that feels collaborative and professional.

Account Ownership & Collaboration:

You’ll take ownership of your expansion opportunities from first conversation through close, while working closely with Customer Success to support adoption, renewals, and overall account health. You’ll also contribute to account planning and help shape long‑term growth strategies for your customers.

Pipeline & Process Management:

You’ll keep your pipeline organized and up to date in CRM so nothing slips through the cracks. Using data and insights, you’ll prioritize the right opportunities, forecast accurately, and stay focused on what will have the biggest impact.

Market & Product Awareness:

You’ll stay curious about BambooHR’s products, add‑ons, and the HR tech space more broadly. By understanding customer use cases and competitive options, you’ll be able to confidently guide customers toward the best solution for their needs.

What You’ll Need to Get the Job Done

2+ years of sales experience , with time spent in account management, expansion, or consultative B2B sales roles.

Experience managing sales conversations with multiple stakeholders.

Strong discovery and consultative selling skills, with the ability to connect solutions to business value.

Comfort navigating moderately complex deal cycles and negotiations.

Experience using CRM tools and maintaining solid pipeline hygiene.

Strong collaboration skills and experience working cross‑functionally.

Clear, confident communication and presentation skills.

A track record of meeting or exceeding quota in an expansion or account‑focused role.

Comfort operating in a fast‑paced, growing environment.

Familiarity with structured sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDPICC, Challenger, SPIN).

Curiosity, coachability, and a desire to continue leveling up your sales craft.
