CNC Sheet Metal Cutting Machine Programmer

This position is responsible for programming sheet metal cutting machines and press brakes, including Amada Laser Punch combination machines, Amada Ensis Laser, and Amada Punch systems. The role utilizes SolidWorks CAD software and SigmaNest CAM software to support metal fabrication operations, ensure accurate production, and assist with design optimization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Program CNC sheet metal cutting machines and press brakes (Amada Laser Punch combination, Amada Ensis Laser, Amada Punch). Use SolidWorks CAD software to optimize designs based on customer-supplied drawings and models. Develop flat patterns for use in the CAM (SigmaNest) process. Verify incoming work orders for accuracy and completeness. Assist customers with design improvements and manufacturability recommendations. Create and provide detailed build drawings for the production floor as required. Support production with design, programming, and tooling-related issues. Manage change requests from customers and shop-floor personnel while maintaining controlled documentation. Review peer drawings and CNC programs for accuracy and quality. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned to support operational goals. Minimum Qualifications

Associate degree or technical school certificate in a related field of study. Minimum of 3 years of SolidWorks CAD experience. Minimum of 3 years of programming experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience and/or working knowledge of metal fabrication processes. Proficiency with technical tools, including Microsoft Excel. Physical Demands and Work Conditions

Primarily seated with regular freedom of movement; operates office equipment and handles light materials and supplies. Normal exposure to an office environment with occasional exposure to a production/manufacturing environment, including dust, metal shavings, machinery oil, and powder coating. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. May spend extended periods operating a desktop computer requiring hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. Periodic physical activity including walking, climbing, bending, standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and stooping. Requires verbal, written, and face-to-face communication. Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Safety glasses and approved footwear required when on the production floor. Additional Notes
