Powder Coat Painter
As a Powder Coat Painter, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining high-quality standards by painting all items processed through the powder coat booth. This position requires a commitment to excellence and adherence to core values such as innovation, integrity, and teamwork.
Responsibilities:
- Stand and paint all parts for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Recognize and apply the correct paint color extensions.
- Possess a good working knowledge of powder coat application.
- Operate all functions of the Nordson paint booth efficiently.
- Communicate ideas and issues promptly.
- Maintain high-quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
- Change colors in one minute and 20 seconds.
- Paint manually at a speed of 10 feet per minute.
- Sustain 5S standards within the department.
Essential Skills:
- Experience in powder coat painting.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to read prints.
- Flexible work schedule with the ability to work 10 hours a day for a 4-6 month period.

- Reliable and dependable work schedule.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- High School Degree or GED preferred.
- Experience in paint prep, masking, taping, metal sanding, and using hand tools.
- Preferred prior paint prep experience.

Work Environment:
You will work in a manufacturing environment within the metal industry alongside 60 other employees. The role requires wearing steel toe boots and safety glasses to ensure safety standards are met. The work schedule is from 6 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, TX.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
