What You’ll Do
Assist with coordinating estimating efforts for assigned bids and projects
Review drawings, specifications, and attend pre‑bid meetings to determine scope
Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare discipline‑specific estimates
Incorporate historical cost data, productivity reports, and subcontract information
Support risk assessment and contract management activities
Consult with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve estimating issues
Evaluate design options and recommend cost‑effective solutions
Prepare bid packages and support vendor/subcontractor selection
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, including DBE and affirmative action requirements
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in
Civil Engineering
(required)
1+ year of heavy civil estimating experience preferred (not required)
Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret construction drawings
Familiarity with construction methods and terminology
Solid math and analytical skills
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Self‑motivated team player eager to learn and grow
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Experience with
HeavyBid ,
MS Project ,
Primavera , or estimating databases is a plus
