We are seeking an experienced
Loan Originator
to join the debt team. This high‑impact, highly visible opportunity involves originating senior secured and bridge loans across multiple property types, working directly with partners and senior leadership. The role offers access to significant deployable capital, institutional resources, and the chance to play a key part in building a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial lending platform with unlimited income potential.
The position can be officeed out of the company's Austin HQ or remotely based in the southeastern United States.
Key Responsibilities
Source, develop, and maintain borrower relationships across target markets, with a focus on multifamily, student housing, hospitality, office, industrial, retail, and land.
Originate $50M–$100M+ in senior debt annually through direct borrower relationships and strategic networks.
Structure, negotiate, and close complex debt transactions.
Conduct initial underwriting and financial analysis, collaborating with analysts and underwriters to finalize loan packages.
Monitor market conditions and identify lending opportunities aligned with platform strategy.
Partner with senior leadership to refine lending strategy, optimize deal flow, and support portfolio growth.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or related field.
Experience in commercial real estate lending, with a strong record of originating loans.
Demonstrated success working for a debt fund, mortgage banker, brokerage firm, or non‑bank lender.
Proven ability to build and grow borrower relationships, ideally with a book of business outside of Texas markets.
Strong technical skills in underwriting, structuring, pricing, and closing debt transactions.
Ability to analyze financial statements, loan structures, and market conditions with sound credit judgment.
