Low Voltage Technician (Mid-Level & Senior)
We are seeking skilled Low Voltage Technicians with experience in structured cabling, network infrastructure, and the installation of physical security systems, including surveillance cameras, access control, and alarm equipment. Ideal candidates are hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in commercial environments. Both Mid‑Level and Senior positions are available depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities Core Duties (All Levels)
Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot Cat5e, Cat6, coax, and fiber optic cabling.
Install and service physical security devices, including IP and analog cameras, NVRs/DVRs, access control systems (readers, mag locks, strikes), and alarm panels, sensors, and keypads.
Build and dress network racks, patch panels, and cable pathways.
Interpret blueprints, floor plans, and wiring diagrams.
Ensure installations meet applicable codes, standards, and customer specifications.
Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow job‑site best practices.
Document work performed and communicate effectively with customers, project managers, and team members.
Additional Responsibilities by Level Mid‑Level Technician
Work independently on routine installation and service tasks.
Assist Senior Technicians on complex builds and system integrations.
Perform basic system programming and device configuration.
Provide input on materials required and anticipate basic project needs.
Senior Technician
Lead installation projects and oversee field teams.
Perform advanced troubleshooting, system integration, and network configuration.
Serve as subject‑matter expert for structured cabling and security systems.
Mentor junior technicians and provide quality assurance on all work completed.
Coordinate with project managers on timelines, materials, and site readiness.
Ensure compliance with applicable federal/state regulations and industry standards.
Qualifications Mid‑Level
2‑4 years of experience in low voltage, structured cabling, or security system installation.
Ability to terminate Cat5e/Cat6 cabling and perform cable testing.
Experience mounting and configuring cameras and basic alarm components.
Familiarity with ladder safety, hand tools, and power tools.
Senior Level
5+ years of low voltage or security systems experience.
Strong proficiency with structured cabling standards and testing equipment.
Deep knowledge of IP networking, VLANs, PoE, and device configuration.
Experience with multiple security platforms (Honeywell, Bosch, Axis, Avigilon, Genetec, OpenPath, etc.).
Ability to lead crews and manage job site workflows.
Preferred Certifications (Not Required)
BICSI Installer or Technician.
OSHA 10/30.
Manufacturer‑specific certifications (Axis, Avigilon, Lenel, etc.).
Networking certifications (CompTIA Network+, CCNA).
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
Work on ladders, lifts, and in tight or overhead spaces.
Ability to stand, bend, and climb for extended periods.
Job Type & Location Contract position based out of Las Vegas, NV.
Pay and Benefits
Pay range: $30.00 – $40.00/hr.
