Systems Administrator III

role at

supports the Department of Corrections and state agencies by maintaining high levels of server environment availability across hardware, virtualization, containerization, and DevOps infrastructure. Responsibilities

Maintain server infrastructure, including patching, virtualization (VMware ESXi), and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher). Administer Windows & Linux operating systems, Active Directory, Citrix Virtual Apps, IIS, Apache, and relational databases (Oracle, MS SQL Server). Write and maintain PowerShell scripts and Ansible playbooks for automation and self-healing. Document system configurations, manage vendors, and coordinate with functional business groups. Travel to state-owned vehicles as required; occasional extended hours. Qualifications

Strong leadership, complex problem‑solving, and facilitation skills. 3–5 years of experience in Windows & Linux Server Administration with Active Directory integration. Hands‑on experience with containerization (Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher), virtualization (VMware ESXi), and scripting/automation (PowerShell, Ansible). Knowledge of data center standards, storage, networking topologies, and Citrix server farms. Experience troubleshooting LAN/WAN architecture and cloud‑hosted technologies. Excellent oral and written communication and customer‑service skills. Minimum Qualifications

Experience with Microsoft Active Directory. Experience with PowerShell and other scripting tools. Experience with virtual server administration. Experience with container maintenance. Required Skills
