Job Overview Lone Star Fire Sprinkler Inc. is seeking a talented and experienced Fire Sprinkler Designer to support our growing design and engineering team in Fort Worth, TX. In this critical role, you will be responsible for creating efficient, code‑compliant fire sprinkler system designs for a range of commercial, industrial, and residential projects. The ideal candidate will bring at least five years of experience, a deep understanding of NFPA codes, and proficiency in CAD‑based software. Key Responsibilities

Design fire sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA standards, local building codes, and client specifications.

Create detailed layout drawings using AutoCAD or fire protection software such as HydraCAD.

Perform hydraulic calculations to ensure system performance and compliance.

Coordinate designs with project managers, engineers, contractors, and field teams.

Review architectural and MEP drawings to produce accurate and efficient fire protection designs.

Generate submittal packages, material lists, and fabrication drawings for approval and field use.

Participate in internal and external design coordination meetings.

Ensure all work aligns with safety standards and meets industry best practices.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience designing fire sprinkler systems.

Strong knowledge of NFPA 13, 14, 20, and other relevant codes.

NICET Level II or higher certification in Fire Protection Engineering Technology—Water‑Based Systems Layout (preferred).

Proficiency in AutoCAD and fire sprinkler design software (HydraCAD or similar).

Ability to interpret and apply construction documents, technical drawings, and specifications.

Excellent attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills.

Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
