Job Description

SAC’s Fabrication Services Department is looking for an experienced, pearl snap wearing, Pipe Fitter who can fabricate and assemble carbon and stainless piping systems from fabrication level shop drawings. Experience with isometrics is a plus. Responsibilities

Inspect the work area and tools daily to ensure all tools and equipment needed is being maintained to OSHA standards and are in safe working order. Ensure that all required materials and equipment are readily available for the job. Study and review pipe isometric drawings before fabrication. Utilize a diverse range of tools to modify pipes, ensuring they meet specified requirements. Measure and accurately mark pipes for cutting and fabricating, maintaining precision. Expertly assemble and tack weld pipe components and systems, adhering to design specifications, so that they can be welded. Coordinate with welding manager and shop lead to ensure the correct material needed to complete jobs are readily available. Ensure strict compliance with relevant codes and regulatory standards, maintaining the highest quality and safety standards. Required Qualifications

Ability to read a tape measure. Must have a solid foundation in arithmetic, fractions, decimals, geometry, and some trigonometry. Blueprint comprehension. Dedication to excellence and quality. Experience working with metal fabrication. Hands-on working knowledge of welding and fabrication techniques. Knowledge of operating power equipment and machinery. Knowledge of Industry specific processes and protocols. High school Diploma or equivalent. Must show up to work on time every day Desired Skills & Experience

Must be able to pass a fit-up test. The test will include reading shop drawings, prepping fittings, and fit-up of a spool. Starting wage $32.00 +, negotiable, depending on experience Benefits
