Base Pay Range $38.00/hr - $50.00/hr
Signing Bonus You will receive a signing bonus of $2,500.00, paid in three installments: $1,000.00 after 90 days of continuous employment and $1,500.00 after 6 months of continuous employment. Repayment is required if employment is terminated before the one‑year anniversary.
Responsibilities
Drive Vision Center sales by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate competitive pricing, proper signing, in‑stock inventory, budgeting, forecasting sales, and assessing economic trends and community needs.
Model and provide direction to Associates on customer/member service approaches, resolving complaints and issues within company guidelines.
Oversee community outreach programs and encourage Associates to serve as community members.
Ensure compliance with company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations for the Vision Center, including asset protection, safety controls, and quality assurance reviews.
Provide supervision and development opportunities for Associates through hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, recognition, and fostering a sense of belonging.
Ensure provision of quality eyewear by consulting, educating members/customers, selecting products, obtaining measurements, verifying prescriptions, maintaining confidential information, performing minor frame repair, and maintaining optical equipment.
Uphold the Open Door Policy by meeting with Associates, listening to concerns, researching issues, reviewing policies, and suggesting resolutions.
Coordinate job‑related activities and assignments, develop relationships with stakeholders, support business plans, recognize goals and objectives, measure progress, address improvement opportunities, and promote continuous learning.
Minimum Qualifications
Completion of 2 or more years of college OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience OR 2 years’ general work experience including 1 year’s optical experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and rules.
Drug‑free workplace commitment; adherence to no‑tolerance policy on illegal drugs and alcohol.
