Job Overview The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a dynamic ProServe Account Executive (PAE) to join us. In this role you will engage new and existing customers in transformative projects involving IT strategy, distributed architecture, and hybrid cloud operations. You will work closely with ProServe Cloud Architects, Engagement Managers, and Delivery Consultants to drive customer success and business growth. As the customer-facing relationship owner you’ll focus on understanding and defining business outcomes for customers by building trust, identifying applicable AWS Professional Services offerings, creating proposals, and securing customer sign‑off of Statements of Work (SOWs). After project launch you will stay connected with the customer to ensure delivery of the agreed business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead business development efforts by engaging customers and driving high‑value engagements
Collaborate with Amazon Global Sales (AGS) representatives to ensure a coordinated approach for key accounts
Create proposals, secure customer sign‑off on Statements of Work, and support successful project delivery
Monitor ongoing projects to ensure delivery of agreed CBOs and maximize revenue potential
Advocate for customers while balancing AWS business objectives
Qualifications
8+ years of technology sales or account management experience
Experience with sales targets, business development, and driving customer satisfaction
Experience with cloud technologies and IT strategies
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience
2+ years of vendor management experience
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Experience building and maintaining C‑level client relationships
Experience solving complex business challenges with accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have proven impact on business (financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)
4+ years of technical specialist, design, and architecture experience, or AWS Professional level certification
