The digital producer will support the digital editorial strategy of D Magazine by coordinating publishing schedules, packaging editorial content for digital audiences, monitoring user metrics, and maintaining editorial standards across all online platforms. Reporting to the Online Executive Editor, this role ensures that digital content is timely, accurate, and optimized for reader engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Production: Lead responsible for packaging and publishing print and digital-only content on dmagazine.com and dweddings.com with a focus on increasing session depth and visitor frequency.

Content Scheduling: Manage the daily and weekly content lineup for web, newsletter, and social channels, ensuring timely publication that aligns with editorial priorities.

Audience Analytics: Track and interpret site traffic, engagement patterns, and referral data using analytics tools like Google Analytics, Looker Studio, Google Search Console, Chartbeat and/or Marfeel. Use data to inform packaging and scheduling of content. Communicate performance takeaways to editorial leadership.

Editorial Quality Control: Review content for accuracy, tone, clarity, and adherence to the magazine’s style and voice before publication. Will work with the Online Executive Editor to refine headlines, improve SEO performance, and enhance audience engagement.

Cross-Team Coordination: Collaborate with managing editors, designers, and audience development team to support integrated editorial campaigns and local brand initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field.

At least two years of experience in digital publishing, audience development, or editorial operations.

Proficiency with analytics platforms and WordPress.

Strong editorial judgment and meticulous attention to detail.

Familiarity with SEO strategy, social engagement tactics, and local media trends.

Ability to balance creativity with data-informed decision-making.

Video/photography skills are a plus.
