ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Business Planning & Account Leadership:
Utilize digital tools and data-driven insights to create opportunities, develop strategies, allocate resources, monitor progress, and adapt to enhance sales performance.
Selling:
Communicate messages clearly and persuasively to customers, identify their needs to effectively address objections, and aim for committed actions to motivate behavioral changes.
Customer Development:
Establish and sustain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, aligning with customer needs and organizational objectives.
Local Market & Therapeutic Area Expertise:
Identify and assess key market trends, analyze account relationships, and leverage therapeutic knowledge to uncover and prioritize opportunities.
Reimbursement:
Stay updated on reimbursement dynamics, proactively address payer access challenges (IDNs, Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial) utilizing Lundbeck resources.
Pharmaceutical Environment/Compliance:
Apply knowledge of the pharmaceutical and regulatory landscape, adhering to Lundbeck policies and FDA regulations in the promotion of products.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
Minimally 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biologics, medical device sales, or related healthcare sales.
Proven ability to excel in product knowledge assessments and maintain certification on an annual basis.
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and stellar communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
Reside within 40 miles of territory boundaries.
Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record adhering to company standards.
Must comply with industry-standard credentialing requirements of healthcare providers for continued employment with Lundbeck.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Experience within a specialty pharmaceutical sales environment.
Background in promoting products related to CNS/neuroscience, including conditions like depression, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder.
Documented successful sales track record.
Accountability in developing and executing comprehensive account plans.
Analytical skills with experience utilizing sales data reporting tools to identify trends.
Experience in launching new products.
Collaboration with alliance partners on co-promotions.
Leadership demonstrated through committee participation and related activities.
TRAVEL
Willingness to travel up to 30%-40% domestically to engage with customers and attend a few internal/external conferences across the United States, ensuring timely travel completion.
