Role and Team Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector is seeking a
Staff Business Development Representative
to join our growing team of diverse professionals within the International Strategy and Business Development team in Weapons System Division. As part of the growth-oriented and customer focused International Strategy and Business Development team this role will be responsible for utilizing Northrop Grumman processes to identify opportunities and pursuits that drive our segment’s growth in the Weapons System Division portfolio. In addition, this role will be responsible for delivering an extraordinary customer experience across our global customer environment and infusing our strategic focus and messaging into all elements of our customer engagement.
Location and Reporting This position reports to the European Manager for International Strategy and Business Development in the Weapons System Division and will be based in
Falls Church
or
McLean, Virginia .
Key Team Member Responsibilities
Working within a team of Business Development professionals toward the comprehensive development and synthesis of an executable European Weapons System Division market segment strategy that drives profitable growth
Taking the lead on new business development pursuits in Europe to define opportunities that will drive pipeline growth for the business
Support Weapons Systems Division’s Business Unit’s business capture process’ to drive growth into the Weapons Systems Divisions Long Range Strategic Plan
Provide proposal support to Weapons Systems Division’s Business Unit’s in order to improve Win Rate for competitive captures
Lead European customer engagement and growth strategies that consider emerging markets, industries, and technologies
Perform economic analyses on new business opportunities and/or business models
Create, maintain and execute a customer engagement strategy across European military, government, and industry leadership
Maintain the accuracy of our Salesforce CRM tool within the process standards of the Northrop Grumman Business Acquisition Process (BAP)
Basic Qualifications
Hold a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 12 years of experience, Aerospace and Defense industry experience a strong preference. Will consider those with a Master's degree in Business or a related discipline with a minimum of 10 years of experience, Aerospace and Defense industry experience a strong preference.
Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance
Must be able to travel as needed (up to 50% of the time)
Strong grasp of Microsoft Office suite of products
Experience with Salesforce (or a similar CRM system)
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in International Affairs, Business Administration, or related discipline preferred.
Direct and relevant experience with the Weapons Systems Division’s portfolio
Highly effective executive communication, presentation, and influencing skills. Background in developing strategic communications strategies highly desired
Demonstrated multi-disciplinary global business development, strategy development and capture experience
Leadership skills (either direct or indirect leadership of teams) and the ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a team environment
Proven ability to provide independent opportunity assessments that result in positive outcomes for the enterprise
Experience with strategic planning, new business development, and investment planning
Strong customer domain knowledge and a proven track record of sustained business growth
Salary and Benefits Primary Level Salary Range: $177,000.00 - $265,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
