Community Services Associate - Bilingual (English/Spanish) Join Lutheran Services in Iowa as a full‑time, English/Spanish bilingual Community Services Associate on our Refugee and Immigrant Services team serving Sioux City and the surrounding area. Work may include evenings, occasional weekends, and statewide travel to meet sponsors and clients.

Responsibilities

Perform fingerprinting for sponsors of unaccompanied minors, including arranging appointments, answering phone and email inquiries, and maintaining an up‑to‑date calendar.

Help sponsors complete necessary paperwork and perform the physical fingerprinting act.

Handle walk‑in sponsors according to the fingerprint calendar.

Meet with sponsors within required time frames and schedules.

Serve as primary contact for TVAP/ASPIRE trafficking victim assistance programs and AOR application processing, including initial screenings and referrals to immigration attorneys.

Support refugees applying for an Authorization of Relationship (AOR) documents to bring qualified family members to the U.S. and assist other departments as requested by the Service Manager or other supervisors.

Qualifications

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent plus two years of related experience. Fluent in English and Spanish.

Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field, plus one year of related experience; or a combination of education and experience. Preferred experience includes human services, safe release services or related programs, general office or customer service experience, fingerprinting or data management.

What You'll Need Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, a good driving record, and the ability to pass an extensive background check (including Dependent Adult and Child Abuse registries, Sex Offender registry, and criminal history).
