The Opportunity This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced leader or a first‑time Underground Manager to step into a high‑impact role and shape the future of underground mining at St Ives. What You’ll Do Reporting to the Manager: Mining, you will manage all facets of the underground material handling project.
Safety & Statutory Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Act and Regulations, maintaining statutory obligations and fostering a proactive safety culture.
Project Management: oversee a twin decline development project and exploration programme for potential expansion into a new underground production zone.
Budget & Forecasting: prepare mining schedules to produce accurate forecasts and budgets.
Contractor Management: manage contractor performance to deliver key milestones safely to standard.
Infrastructure: oversee the installation and commissioning of the materials handling capital infrastructure.
What You’ll Bring
Capability in project and contractor management
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Mining) or equivalent
WA First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency
A growth mindset, with strong communication, responsibility, and relationship‑building skills.
