About The Position Our Federal DoD Account Executive will have ownership of all elements of bookings growth in the Intel territory. This includes discovering and developing new opportunities, managing pipeline, executing account strategies, and managing customer expansion. The AE must be quota‑driven, and will represent Rubrik within the Department of Defense. The position will manage all aspects of the sales process and will play an integral role in the success of the overall Federal Sales Team.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a history of sales excellence through impressive pipeline growth, outbound prospecting, ruthless qualification, innovation, and consistent hard work. Experience selling enterprise infrastructure / software into the datacenter is preferred.
Position Deliverables
Define and execute sales plans for the assigned territory to meet and exceed quota through prospecting, qualifying, managing, and closing sales opportunities.
Develop and manage sales pipeline to move a large number of strategic transactions through the sales process.
Identify and close new opportunities for growth working with Federal DoD Services & Agencies.
Present Rubrik solutions within complex data center design environments.
Co‑sell and strategize with partners, distributors, and VARs to enable rapid growth.
Provide Rubrik management with feedback about the local federal market opportunity and identification of new business opportunities and channel partnerships.
About You
5‑10 years of Federal / DoD sales experience (DISA & 4th Estate preferred).
Passion for selling and hungry for the hunt (IT industry background preferable).
Great at building and nurturing successful relationships.
Consistent overachievement of sales goals in a large geographic territory.
Must be able to work in a fast‑paced and passionate environment.
Drive to expand client base and close sales.
Entrepreneurial—willing to go the extra mile, strong work ethic, resourceful, “get it done” attitude.
Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
Security and Privacy Responsibilities
Know, acknowledge, and follow system‑specific security policies and procedures.
Protect data and individual privacy per requirements and regulations.
Perform ongoing activities in compliance with service and contractual obligations.
Participate in role‑based training, completing assignments on a timely basis.
Report security issues promptly and aid investigation when needed.
Support controlled changes and vulnerability remediation activities.
Work collaboratively with Information Security in designing, implementing, assessing or enhancing system‑specific security and privacy controls.
Position Risk Designation This position carries duties and responsibilities involving the U.S. Federal Government’s interests. The selected incumbent may be subject to one or both of the additional background checks with periodic re‑screening as noted below:
Non‑Sensitive, Low Risk, Tier 1: Incumbents without access to U.S. Government data may be required to complete Standard Form 85 and undergo a Tier 1 Investigation.
Non‑Sensitive, Moderate Risk, Tier 2 (Public Trust): Incumbents with access to U.S. Government data may be required to complete Standard Form 85P and undergo Tier 2 Investigation.
Moderate Risk Law Enforcement (CJIS): When hired for a position where access to Moderate Risk criminal justice information is required, the employee must complete a fingerprint‑based national criminal history background check within 30 days after the employee’s start date.
