The Role We are seeking an experienced sales leader to lead and scale our high-performing sales organization. This player‑coach role is ideal for someone who has thrived in consultative, complex B2C or B2B2C sales environments with deal sizes of $5,000+. You will take full ownership of our sales function, drive revenue growth, develop talent, and collaborate cross‑functionally with Marketing and Student Success to optimize the entire customer journey. This role requires in‑person presence in our NYC office.
What You’ll Do
Team Leadership & Development:
Manage, mentor, and develop the sales team; coach them through complex, consultative sales cycles; implement professional development programs; conduct regular 1:1s, pipeline reviews, and performance evaluations; build a high‑performance sales culture.
Sales Operations & Performance:
Drive overall sales performance; own sales processes and playbooks for our inbound motion; analyze metrics and pipeline health; partner with Revenue Operations on CRM strategy and automation; oversee SDR qualification and contract workflow.
Strategic Collaboration:
Partner with Marketing to optimize lead quality; collaborate with Student Success for onboarding and upsell; provide market insights; contribute to strategic planning and forecasting; work with founders on new product development.
Process & Systems:
Refine and document sales processes; implement CRM enhancements and dashboards; establish best practices for documentation; ensure compliance with enrollment policies and ethical standards.
Who You Are
5+ years of consultative B2C or B2B2C sales experience, with at least 2 years managing high‑performing sales teams.
Proven track record selling complex, high‑ticket products/services ($5,000+ ACV).
Experience managing individual contributors with significant revenue targets.
Deep understanding of inbound sales motions, lead nurturing, and conversion optimization.
Background in education services, professional services, wealth management, healthcare, or similar consultative industries strongly preferred.
