About the Role As a
Tax Manager with our Client , you will work closely with successful, privately held for-profit companies and their owners to proactively plan for the future, minimize surprises, coordinate tax strategies, and support long‑term growth. This is a
relationship‑driven, hands‑on leadership role
with a strong emphasis on collaboration, quality, and consistency.
This position provides
primarily on‑site support , with a

Duties & Responsibilities
Manage tax advisory services and tax compliance for
pass‑through entities
across a variety of for‑profit industries, including
Construction, Manufacturing, Retail, and Professional Services
Serve as a
reviewer of tax work , ensuring accuracy, compliance, and high‑quality deliverables
Conduct tax research and provide written technical guidance with a strong understanding of the
Internal Revenue Code
and
Treasury Regulations
Develop, build, and independently manage client relationships, including responsibility for
billing and collections
Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining service excellence
Lead, mentor, develop, and train professional tax staff; provide clear direction and constructive feedback
Participate in firm initiatives and committees focused on
client service, staff development, and operational improvement
Represent the Client positively within the professional and business community through professionalism, integrity, and a collaborative, solutions‑oriented approach
Workload Expectations
Typical workload averages
approximately 60 hours per week during tax‑heavy periods
Audit‑related responsibilities generally average
closer to 50 hours per week
The Client is intentional about
managing workloads responsibly
and avoiding unnecessary burnout
Minimum Qualifications
7+ years
of relevant experience in public accounting, including technical tax consulting and research
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
(Required)
Master’s Degree in Taxation or LLM in Taxation
(Preferred)
Active CPA license required
Experience with CCH ProSystem fx Tax, Engagement, and Document software a plus
Demonstrated
strong tenure and career stability ; candidates with frequent job changes will be considered only with compelling explanations
Ability and willingness to work
on‑site in a hybrid environment (3 days in‑office; no fully remote option)
