What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Answer inquiries from patients regarding account charges, insurance payments, and balances due
Set up payment plans when requested by patients
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding Patient Health Information (PHI) and adhere to HIPAA regulations
Communicate questions and/or issues to the Lead and Supervisor when necessary
Perform various clerical duties including collecting balances due and recording payments to accounts
What is Required (Qualifications):
Minimum of 1 year of Customer Service/Call Center experience, preferably in medical or healthcare
Minimum educational requirement: High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and a problem solver in a fast-paced team environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Knowledge of Explanation of Benefits (EOBs)
Continuing education beyond high school is preferred
