Customer Service & Order Entry Specialist
to join their team. This is a contract role expected to last 6 – 8 months.
Salary/Hourly Rate: $22/hr – $24/hr
Position Overview: The Customer Service & Order Entry Specialist is responsible for managing the order process from inception to delivery. This role involves handling inquiries via phone and email, providing product information, and resolving issues to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and retention. Applicants must have previous experience working in customer service for a manufacturing, logistics, or distribution company. This role offers the opportunity to work from home three days a week.
Responsibilities of the Customer Service & Order Entry Specialist:
Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat in a timely and professional manner. Provide detailed information about products and services to business clients.
Resolve customer issues and complaints efficiently and effectively.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts. Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services to existing clients.
Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
Process orders accurately and promptly.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure the timely delivery of products and services. Monitor order status and provide updates to customers as necessary.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions and transactions. Prepare regular reports on customer service activities, issues, and resolutions.
Required Experience/Skills for the Customer Service & Order Entry Specialist:
Experience documenting customer interactions and processing orders with ERP/CRM software.
Comfortable assisting clients via phone (30 – 40 calls a day).
Ability to handle complex issues and provide practical solutions.
Strong multitasker.
Education Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
