Business Development Representative (BDR) – Remote (Austin, TX)
Our client, a high‑growth startup in the InsurTech space, is seeking a driven and ambitious Business Development Representative to join their fully remote team. You will help build a repeatable outbound motion from the ground up, working closely with the Growth team to generate qualified leads and shape a fast‑growing startup’s sales playbook.
Compensation Base pay range: $60,000 – $70,000 per year, plus performance‑based incentives (up to $120‑$130k OTE). Commission available.

A Day in the Life As a BDR, you’ll introduce the company to mid‑market decision‑makers across a variety of industries, work closely with Growth to generate qualified leads, build repeatable outreach strategies, and set the tone for future BDR hires.
Responsibilities
Make a high volume of cold calls daily to book discovery meetings
Own outreach end‑to‑end: script execution, objection handling, and handoff
Research prospects in real time to personalize each conversation
Help shape outbound strategy, talk tracks, and sales messaging
Collaborate with the Growth team to refine playbooks and outreach strategy
Participate in weekly reviews to evaluate and improve performance
Requirements and Qualifications
2‑3+ years of BDR/SDR experience
Currently located in Austin, Texas
Prior experience in outbound sales, cold calling, and appointment setting
Strong passion for sales and commitment to mastering the craft
High energy, self‑driven, and reliable in a remote environment
Clear, confident communicator, especially on the phone
Comfortable engaging with executive‑level prospects
Personality that demonstrates self‑motivation, integrity, and an ability to collaborate with others
