About the Opportunity:
A leading building automation contractor is seeking an experienced
Controls Programmer (Level II or III)
to support expanding project demand across the Austin metro. This role is ideal for a hands‑on BAS professional who wants a true hybrid schedule—balancing remote programming work (60%) with field commissioning and system support.
You will take the lead on municipal, education, and commercial projects, developing programs from the ground up, building user interface graphics, and troubleshooting a wide range of BAS platforms used across schools, healthcare facilities, and commercial buildings.

$90,000 – $110,000
Schedule:
Full-Time
Territory:
Greater Austin area (rare travel outside the region)
What You'll Do:
Develop custom BAS control programs and front‑end graphics packages
Commission, test, and fine‑tune automation systems onsite
Troubleshoot and optimize existing sequences and databases
Build and validate BAS databases to meet design specifications
Interpret drawings, project specs, and technical documentation
Work closely with install teams and commissioning staff for smooth system startup
Perform point‑to‑point device verification and functional testing
Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams
Ideal Background:
3+ years in BAS programming or controls technician roles
Proficiency with
line programming
using Reliable Controls, Schneider Electric, or Delta
Solid understanding of BACnet protocols and device communication
Knowledge of commissioning practices and BAS integration workflows
Comfortable working independently in the field and remotely with project teams
What’s Offered:
