Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) degree, active Physical Therapy Assistant license, and 1+ years Physical Therapy Assistant experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Physical Therapist Assistant position is available to provide specialized support within multiple K-12 school settings located in the Lake County Public Schools district in Eustis, FL. This role will primarily serve students across various schools with an itinerant schedule as needed. The assignment is a contract position beginning January 7, 2025, through May 29, 2026. Responsibilities include: Delivering physical therapy services to a caseload of approximately 40 active students, ranging in age across the K-12 spectrum. Collaborating with multidisciplinary school teams to develop and implement individualized therapy plans. Providing on-site support at multiple locations within the district, adapting itinerantly to meet student needs. Maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with professional and school requirements. Supporting student participation in school activities by improving physical functioning and mobility. Qualifications: Current and valid Professional Physical Therapist Assistant license. Demonstrated experience working within school-based settings is required. Strong understanding of pediatric physical therapy assessments and interventions. Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and healthcare providers. Flexibility to work on-site and travel to multiple schools as necessary.
