The #1 Priority of this position is...
To assist the Activities & Entertainment Director in executing the residents' activity program, lead group activities and visit residents to complete their Activity Profile.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
* Assist the Director in decorating the building for all parties, holidays and special events. * Follow the daily activities schedule and carry-out the assigned planned activities and events. * Maintain an ongoing inventory of departmental supplies and equipment. * General housekeeping duties in activity areas and supply closets. * Be aware of conditions that may interfere with the safety and well-being of residents while in activities. * Assist the Director by interviewing residents based on their activities profile and input the information into the CRM.
Qualifications
* Experience in recreation setting preferred. * Experience in party planning and carrying out social and recreational programs. * Must be creative and have appropriate input in creating new activities for the program. * Performance experience is preferred, such as singing or dancing. * Must have a high school degree or equivalent. * Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English. Spanish preferred. * Must have basic knowledge of a variety of activities and exhibit the ability to give instructions to others.

* Responsible, always on time, resourceful, very accurate and detail-oriented. * Flexible as to work schedule. Must be available to work on weekends, holidays and in emergency situations. * Must be able to work under pressure and multi-task. * Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently AND as a team member. * Exhibit an enthusiastic and friendly personality that has aptitude for working with a variety of people. * Must be comfortable with working with older individuals and be able to motivate them in participating in the programs.
