Job Description:

* The Phlebotomist III Floater represents the face of the organization to patients as part of their routine healthcare or diagnostic needs. * This role is responsible for collecting quality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing while following established practices and procedures. * The Phlebotomist III Floater interacts directly with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence by explaining procedures and performing blood draws in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner. * The role demonstrates leadership behaviors while focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information. * Assignments may include a doctor s office, patient service center, or multiple locations based on business needs.

Requirement/Must Have:

* Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment. * Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision. * Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections. * Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime based on staffing needs. * Commitment to policies and procedures related to professional conduct, safety, and confidentiality. * Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment. * Reliable transportation and valid driver s license, if applicable. * Ability to travel and work flexible hours across multiple locations with minimal notice. * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment. * Strong customer focus with clear, open, and professional communication skills.

Experience:

* Three to five years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections. * Minimum of two years of experience in a patient service center environment preferred. * Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred. * Keyboarding and data entry experience.

Responsibilities:

* Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of a supervisor. * Maintain a safe and professional work environment. * Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established procedures. * Verify patient identification and specimen labeling in the patient s presence. * Maintain required records and documentation. * Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image with patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Qualification And Education:

* High school diploma or equivalent. * Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. * Phlebotomy certification preferred.
