Job Summary

The position of Tool Crib Attendant will receive, store, issue hand tools, machine tools, materials and equipment in industrial setting. Schedule inspections and repairs on vehicle lifts, industrial equipment and other tools as needed. Responsible for tool calibration and routine maintenance to ensure tools are functioning properly.

Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm, Monday - Friday

Hourly Rate: $18.40 per hour

Key Responsibilities

* Issue tools and equipment to workers.

* Maintain records of tools and equipment issued returned per written process. * Locate lost or misplaced tools and equipment. * Inspect and measure tools and equipment for defects and wear, visually, using a micrometer or computer, and report damage or wear to supervisor or designee. * Work with corporate tooling team in Windsor to ensure all calibration paperwork is transmitted to them in a timely fashion. * Deliver tools or equipment to workers manually or using industrial equipment. * Mark and identify tools and equipment using identification tag, stamp or electric marking tool.

* Prepare periodic inventory or maintain perpetual inventory of tools and equipment per written process. * Receive, unpack, and store incoming tools and equipment, and requisition stock to replenish inventory. * Assist Production Manager or designee with scheduling or assisting with repair of vehicle lifts or other industrial equipment. * Repair, service and lubricate tools and equipment using hand tools, spray gun/canister, calibrators or computer. * Comply with Environmental Programs, including Hazardous Waste and Air Emissions Compliance, as well as the Environmental Management Systems.

* Responsible to collect, handle and inspect Hazardous Waste accumulation including used oil.

* Other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications

* Education

* Minimum Required: A minimum High School Diploma or equivalent is required. * Preferred: Certificate or diploma within a relevant field considered an asset.

* Experience

* Minimum Required: Experience in a manufacturing or production environment. * Preferred: Experience in Tool Crib Management, Automotive Manufacturing Maintenance, Automotive Paint Process, or Building Maintenance, is a plus.

* Knowledge in Preventative Maintenance system is a plus. * Operation of Industrial Equipment is required. * Aptitude and ability to identify tools and proper functioning of the tools. * Basic computer knowledge is required. * Ensure that the OSHA and internal safe operating principles are in place and adhered to. * Comply with provisions of the OSHA Regulations and take every precaution reasonable in the circumstances for the protection of all employees. * Adhere to the IATF16949 requirements. * Complete annual RCRA Training. * Excellent interpersonal, written communication and proven organizational skills. * Maintain a valid US Driver's License.

Working Conditions

The following working conditions are present or expected on a daily basis:

* Manufacturing environment with minimal managerial assignments. * Continued exposure to chemicals, robotics, industrial and automotive vehicles, manufacturing equipment, tools, vehicle lifts, building structures and weather elements. * Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs. with limited accommodations and flexible working positions. * Must comply with all Company policies, procedures and work instructions. * Personal Protective Equipment must be worn at all times while on the production floor. * Must be able to pass and maintain an Industrial Equipment license or licenses. * Must be able to certify under the OSHA Respiratory Protection Standard
