Omni Ft. Lauderdale Hotel Storeroom Manager The Omni Ft. Lauderdale Hotel is a 29‑story hotel, located at 1950 Eisenhower Blvd, and connected directly to the Broward County Convention Center. The property offers 801 guest rooms and suites, multiple restaurants, a vibrant rooftop bar, a sprawling pool, spa, and fitness center. The hotel will also have over 120,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, including a grand ballroom, junior ballroom, 25 breakout rooms and pre‑function meeting space with waterfront views.

To maintain the daily operations and functions of the food, beverage, and general storerooms while ensuring accurate inventory control, proper storage procedures, and timely distribution of goods. This role is committed to providing our culinary, banquet, and other hotel departments with the highest level of customer service. You are expected to anticipate needs, respond promptly to requests, and deliver products efficiently and professionally to support seamless hotel operations.

Responsibilities

Responsible for proper receiving, storing, and issuing of all food and beverage products in the food, beverage, and general storerooms under the guidance of the storeroom manager.

Inspect and unpack all merchandise received, and stock it.

Assist leadership in keeping the storeroom properly organized by sorting by group as stated by the storeroom manager.

Assist in pricing and dating all groceries and canned goods; also, being aware of the importance of the first in/first out (F.I.F.O.) rotation.

Strictly adhere to the operating hours of the storerooms.

Assist in filling General Storeroom requisitions.

Assist in keeping the storeroom properly organized by placing merchandise in its proper place as directed.

Assist in end‑of‑month inventories.

Keep all unauthorized persons 'off premises', check requisitions for proper authorization.

Assist in the inspection of the refrigeration units and bring attention to any deviation from the set temperatures as well as any deterioration of the quality of the perishables (record temperature on a daily log).

Responsible for the cleaning of all storerooms.

Follow/adhere to Omni Hotels operating procedures and local health regulations.

Start a list for out of stocks/goods not received items so that follow‑up can be made.

Notify manager of 'dead stock' items.

Verify that no requisitions are left open (all requisitions should be completed and closed out).

Check and lock all coolers/storeroom doors before departure at end‑of‑day.

Comply at all times with Omni standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.

Verify that no requisitions are left open, inform manager of all 'shorts' on requisitions.

Follow closing storeroom procedures, including ensuring all cooler doors are closed; all doors are locked, key tags on the outside door and logbook available.

Monitor vendor ability to provide timely and consistent quality according to established specifications.

Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in purchasing/receiving and/or previous hotel experience preferred.

Highly motivated self‑starter focused on quality, organization, cleanliness, and teamwork.

The ability to work in a fast paced, high pressing work environment while executing delegated tasks/assignments and while working as a team player.

Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with management and co‑workers, both in person and by telephone.

Ability to read requisitions and complete orders as requested.

Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Ability to input information accurately and efficiently into computer systems.

Must be able to work with and understand financial information, data, and basic arithmetic functions.

Ability to work cohesively with co‑workers both within and outside of your department.

Must be service oriented and possess a friendly approachable demeanor.

Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.

Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.

Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Provide strong customer service to both internal and external clients to ensure that business partnerships are running smoothly and efficiently.

Environment & Position Analysis

Move, bend, lift, and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance and 100 pounds with assistance.

Ability to push, pull, and place objects up to 75 pounds without assistance.

Stand, walk, or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift.

Ability to squat, bend, and reach overhead.

Requires repetitive motion, including utilizing telephone/computer for an extended period or for an entire shift.

Tools & Equipment

Desktop computer (Oracle, Birchstreet, Kronos and Microsoft Office), printer, telephone, copier, fax machine and scanner. Walk‑in refrigerators, hand truck and lift‑jack dolly.
