Parts Specialist
role at
O'Reilly Auto Parts . The Parts Specialist provides a high level of service to retail and installer customers and supports store management in assigned tasks.
Essential Job Functions
Follow and promote all company customer service programs
Greet retail/walk‑in customers and assist them in merchandise selection
Assist managers and installer specialists in serving professional customers
Complete assigned company training
Provide excellent service to customers calling the store
Maintain and secure the cash drawer, process cash/checks and credit card transactions
Process exchanges and returns for credit
Address and resolve customer complaints
Complete daily image maker and planogram updates, stocking, cleaning, etc.
Perform daily operational tasks such as preparing returns, stock adjustments, inventory cycle counts
Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training
Perform in‑store services for customers where allowed (install wipers, test batteries, scan trouble codes, replace headlight capsules, etc.)
Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle when business needs dictate
Other duties as assigned
Skills/Education/Knowledge/Experience/Abilities
Required: Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service
Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time
Desired: Familiar with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service
Desired: ASE certification
Desired: Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
