Maintenance Assistant
to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and attractive environment for our residents, families, and staff.
Responsibilities
Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on facility equipment, furnishings, and property
Maintain work order system to ensure timely and efficient repairs
Keep all equipment in clean, safe, and serviceable condition
Conduct scheduled maintenance on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and seasonal basis
Safely store and handle hazardous chemicals per OSHA guidelines
Assist with painting, minor carpentry, and other facility improvement projects
Report and correct unsafe conditions promptly
Coordinate with other departments to minimize interruptions to resident care
Remain available to respond to facility emergencies as needed
Complete additional duties assigned by the Maintenance Director
Qualifications & Skills
Proven experience as a maintenance technician or assistant
Knowledge of OSHA requirements and safety regulations
Working knowledge of tools, appliances, and building systems
Strong skills in painting, general repairs, and preventive maintenance
Manual dexterity, problem‑solving abilities, and physical strength
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
High school diploma or equivalent required
Valid driver’s license in good standing
Willingness to work overtime or flexible hours if needed
Schedule & Job Type
Full‑Time Position
8‑Hour Shifts
