Our client is a leading manufacturer of specialty alumina products across the country and has become a major supplier for the ceramic, refractory and glass industry. This team produces a broad range of high quality aluminas as well as other refined mineral products on a daily basis. They are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team!
Pay : $115k-$135k salary
Location : Cincinnati, Ohio
Responsibilities:
* Design mechanical components and systems using 2D/3D CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar). * Develop, apply, and maintain engineering calculations and accurate bills of materials to support mechanical design and production. * Independently lead large capital projects ($1M+) from concept through implementation. * Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and cross-functional teams to improve performance, cost efficiency, and reliability. * Drive continuous improvement initiatives within mechanical systems and processes. * Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize existing plant equipment and systems. * Evaluate, select, and coordinate the purchase and installation of new mechanical systems. * Create and update CAD designs for mechanical components and systems (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. * 2-4 years of experience in a mechanical engineering role. * Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred. * Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent) required. * Experience leading large scale projects is preferred * Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, engineering calculations, and production processes. * Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
