About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Lending Officer (CLO) to join its executive leadership team. The CLO will be responsible for the strategic direction, oversight, and performance of the bank's lending operations, including commercial, consumer, and municipal lending. This key role involves leading the development and execution of strategic initiatives for the business banking department, ensuring alignment with the bank's overall strategic plan and vision. The successful candidate will provide visionary leadership, create and manage strategic initiatives, and develop lending strategies that support the bank's growth, profitability, and risk management objectives.
The ideal candidate for the CLO position at the company will be a dynamic leader with a proven track record in commercial lending and portfolio management. They must have a strong understanding of lending regulations, credit risk, and compliance, and a commitment to community banking values and relationship-based lending. The CLO will be expected to mentor, manage, and develop lending staff, fostering a culture of accountability, service excellence, and professional growth. Essential qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field, with an MBA or Graduate School of Banking preferred, and a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in banking, with at least 5 years in a senior lending or credit leadership role. The candidate should be an exceptional leader, communicator, and strategic planner, with the ability to inspire teams, drive innovation, and cultivate a high-performance culture.
