About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Lending Officer (CLO) to join its Executive Leadership Team. The CLO will be responsible for providing strategic direction, leadership, and oversight of all lending operations, including real estate, commercial, and consumer portfolios. This role is pivotal in ensuring that lending activities align with the company's purpose of supporting members in achieving their financial goals, while also driving sustainable growth, maintaining asset quality, and ensuring compliance. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader, guiding long-term lending strategies, and championing innovative products and services. Additionally, the CLO will serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, leadership team, and Board on lending performance, risks, and opportunities.
Candidates for the CLO position should have a proven track record of at least 10-15 years in progressive leadership within the lending sector, with a strong emphasis on managing diverse portfolios and fostering client relationships. The role requires a strategic thinker, innovative leader, and collaborative partner who can inspire teams and champion diversity and inclusion. The CLO will also be expected to maintain sound credit risk management, drive loan growth, and cultivate strong relationships with members, business clients, regulators, and community leaders. A bachelor's degree is required, with a master's degree preferred, and the ideal candidate will have a background that enhances the company's reputation and strengthens its position as a trusted financial partner in the communities it serves.
