About the Role

The Company is seeking a Head of Public Affairs to spearhead the development and execution of its public affairs strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing policy intelligence, advocacy, and government relations support to safeguard and promote corporate priorities. This pivotal role involves engaging with internal leaders and external stakeholders at various levels, including international, federal, state, and local. Key responsibilities include the formulation and implementation of advocacy strategies, presenting policy positions to a range of entities, monitoring legislative and regulatory developments, and drafting essential communication materials. The Head of Public Affairs will also be tasked with managing stakeholder partnerships, anticipating risks, and leading a team to ensure the effective delivery of public affairs initiatives.

Applicants for the Head of Public Affairs position at the company should have a minimum of 15 years' experience in public affairs, with a preference for those who have worked in agency, brand, or political settings. A deep understanding of public policy and the ability to simplify complex regulatory issues is essential. Experience in areas such as fashion, retail, global supply chains, trade, sustainability, or geopolitical issues is also highly valued. The role requires exceptional writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills, as well as a proven track record in influencing stakeholders and achieving positive outcomes. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in team leadership, project management, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across functions. Experience in presenting to senior leadership and corporate boards is a key requirement.
