About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Origination and Energy Markets to lead a team in the origination, pricing, structuring, negotiation, and execution of long-term power offtake agreements. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating market demand drivers, strategic business opportunities, and the finance-ability of counterparties. This role requires advanced knowledge of revenue optimization, market fundamentals, regulatory overlay, and experience in competitive bidding and pricing analysis. The VP will also be tasked with leading business development efforts, establishing key stakeholder relationships, and driving the negotiation and execution of various revenue agreements.
The ideal candidate will be technically-minded with a deep understanding of market mechanisms, drivers, and contract terms. They should have a strong background in the technical aspects of revenue modeling, particularly in the context of solar, storage, and hybrid technology. A proven track record in negotiating and executing complex PPAs, as well as expertise in revenue optimization and technical modeling, is essential. The role demands a professional with the ability to manage and leverage technical and quantitative resources, and who is confident in navigating complex transactions and communicating value propositions to both internal and external stakeholders. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, with an MBA being preferred, and a minimum of 10 years of experience in utility-scale power origination and business development.
