Order Picker

Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Nashville, Tennessee. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking items from our warehouse shelves based on customer orders, ensuring that each order is fulfilled correctly and efficiently. Your primary focus will be on locating products, verifying quantities, and preparing them for the packing and shipping process. You will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, utilizing hand-held scanners or pick lists to navigate efficiently and gather the necessary items. Meticulous attention to detail is essential to minimize picking errors and ensure inventory accuracy. Key responsibilities include handling merchandise with care, maintaining organized pick paths, and ensuring all picked items are staged correctly for packing. Safety is a top priority; therefore, adherence to all company safety protocols and the consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE) are mandatory. The role requires physical stamina, as you will be on your feet for extended periods and may need to perform tasks involving lifting. Responsibilities:

• Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to customer order requirements.
• Utilize scanners or pick sheets to locate and retrieve products efficiently.
• Verify product information and quantities before confirming picks.
• Stage picked items in designated areas for quality control and packing.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace and follow warehouse organization standards.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
• Report any damaged items or inventory discrepancies to a supervisor.
• Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, such as stocking or replenishment.
• Contribute to team goals and maintain a positive work environment.
• Perform tasks involving standing, walking, and lifting throughout the shift.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is beneficial.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods.
• Understanding of warehouse safety guidelines and the importance of PPE.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with logistics and order fulfillment processes is a plus.
