Assistant Property Manager

The focus is on supporting day-to-day operations, improving occupancy, ensuring compliance, strengthening rent collections, and delivering exceptional resident service while assisting the Property Manager in returning the community to standard performance levels. Key Responsibilities

Assist in daily operations of the property, including rent collections, lease administration, and resident relations Support the Property Manager with budgeting, reporting, and expense control to improve financial performance Oversee and assist with leasing efforts, ensuring timely follow-up on leads and accurate processing of applications Coordinate move-ins, move-outs, inspections, and work orders to maintain high resident satisfaction and compliance with company standards Ensure compliance with Tax Credit, HUD, and local housing regulations; maintain all required documentation and certifications Assist with staff scheduling, supervision, and training to promote consistent operational standards Monitor delinquencies and work with residents on payment arrangements to reduce outstanding balances Handle resident concerns professionally and efficiently to foster a positive community environment Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as requested by the Property Manager or Regional leadership Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience as an Assistant Property Manager or similar role in affordable or Tax Credit housing Knowledge of property management operations, rent collection processes, and regulatory compliance Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities Experience with property management software (Boston Post preferred) Customer service–oriented, professional, and proactive in approach Equal Opportunity Employer
