Burial Crew Member Location:
Cedar Rapids, IA Pay:
$17.00-$22.00/hour (based on experience) Schedule:
Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM Weekend Rotation:
Every 3rd weekend Job Type:
Full-Time
Job Summary: We are hiring a dependable Burial Crew Member to support cemetery operations in Cedar Rapids, IA. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy outdoor, physical work and can perform their duties with professionalism and respect. The burial crew member assists with burials, grounds preparation, and equipment operation while helping maintain well-kept, dignified grounds.
Burial Crew Member Responsibilities: Assist with burial services in a respectful and professional manner
Perform physical labor including shoveling, leveling, and site preparation
Operate burial equipment and diggers as trained
Set up and break down graveside equipment and materials
Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
Work as part of a team to ensure services run smoothly
Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines Burial Crew Member Qualifications:
Ability to perform consistent physical labor outdoors in all weather conditions
Comfortable working in a cemetery environment
Ability to lift, shovel, bend, and stand for extended periods
Strong teamwork, reliability, and professionalism
Experience in landscaping, construction, general labor, or groundskeeping a plus (not required) Why This Burial Crew Member Role:
