Your role Responsible for developing, implementing and coordinating procedures and systems covering employment, employee relations, wage and salary administration, benefit administration including health and dental, orientation and training, payroll, employee services, receptionist and telephones, employee handbook, personnel files and preserving non-union status. Duties and Responsibilities: Develops and coordinates all activities of the Human Resource Department, including but not limited to departmental goals and objectives, process improvements, recordkeeping, maintaining plant non-union status. Assures that location is in compliance with State and Federal laws, including but not limited to ADA, FMLA, Civil Rights Act, Equal Employment Opportunity Act, Workers Compensation, I-9s, and others as applicable. Includes investigation, documentation, and necessary corrective action. Develops, recommends, implements, interprets and maintains personnel policies and procedures. Investigates violations and complaints. Participates in corrective action and terminations. Coordinates and participates in the development and administration of associate health, security and benefit programs. Implements and updates compensation/performance recognition programs and maintains job descriptions. Develops and coordinates training programs for managers, supervisors, and hourly associates, including but not limited to, leadership, legal issues, new hire orientation, Directs hiring activities, including but not limited to, hiring qualified employees in a timely manner while complying with company standards. Monitors turnover and suggests methods of addressing. Maintains good public relations status with the various local civic organizations, manufacturing plants, and business people within the community regarding human resources functions. Monitors unemployment claims and coordinates appeals. Coordinates Drug-Free Workplace proce. Provides direction to the HR Assistant/Receptionist. Required Qualifications: Has a minimum of 3-5 years direct experience in an industrial environment in the Personnel/Human Resources area. Experience required in employment process, compensation and benefits, incentive programs, quality improvement, employee relations, wage and salary administration, benefit administration and payroll. Prefer food plant experience. Bachelors Degree is required. Has a good mental vision of a successful manufacturing/processing operation. Develops a team environment in which members participate, cooperate with and support each other. Is effective at coaching others. Helps subordinates and other associates define and follow through with actions that support excellent performance and personal development. Thinks of ways to make people more productive and more focused on company goals; finds ways to reward and recognize achievements. Develops and implements methods to improve department productivity within established expense budgets. Manages all personnel and operations to assure timely customer receipt of product within the standards of budget, policies, procedures, work rules, quality, safety, sanitation and Federal and State Laws.
