What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Manage a designated volume of arbitrations, including initiating arbitration on disputed Medical Payments and Personal Injury Protection (PIP) claims
Investigate and research losses to determine subrogation best practices and secure recovery rights
Negotiate and conclude recovery settlements while ensuring strict regulatory compliance
Handle an inventory of automotive damage, disputed liability, and cross-jurisdictional claims
File and hear arbitrations as required and determine appropriate collection methods
What is Required (Qualifications)
Minimum of 3 years of automotive claims liability experience
General or advanced knowledge of Department of Insurance regulations and compliance requirements
Strong customer service and negotiation skills
Proficient analytical, problem‑solving, prioritization, and organizational skills
High school diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience with Medical Payments, PIP, or Bodily Injury claims
Understanding of various lines of coverage (e.g., homeowners, auto, personal property)
BA/BS in Business, Insurance, or a related area, or equivalent experience
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups
Active participation in company culture initiatives, such as employee resource groups or volunteering
