Job Description
Boutique Law Firm in Sherman Oaks seeking a dedicated File Clerk to join our team full-time. Candidates should be highly organized, punctual, team‑players with great attention to details. This position works alongside 2 other clerks.
Responsibilities Filing
Provide filing and document management support to legal secretaries and/or attorneys. Includes sorting, organizing documents in chronological order, creating file folders, indexing Discovery or Pleading documents and creating labels with proper case names and matter information.
Generate copies, printing documents, scanning documents,
Provide back-up for helping with outgoing/incoming US Mail, FedEx, and UPS.
Assist with special projects.
Tech
Assist with occasional set up of audio‑visual screens, computer monitors, and plug and play hard drives
General Office Support
Work under the direction of the Director of Administration.
Assist both attorneys and secretaries as needed to provide continuing filing and organizational tasks.
Assist with conference room set up/breakdown as needed
Act as a backup for the receptionist during their lunch hour and as needed.
Requirements
Must have at least 1 Year of File Clerk experience at a law firm
Requires excellent follow-up, initiative, and organizational skills.
Familiar with Microsoft Word and Outlook.
Knowledge of a document management system, NetDocs a plus.
Compensation: $30-40/hr base pay, benefits including PTO, health, vision, dental, 401k and more
