We are looking for a dedicated file clerk to join our team in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. This is a long-term contract position, offering an excellent opportunity to support a CPA firm during its busy tax season. Responsibilities: Scan and digitize physical documents to ensure efficient electronic record-keeping. Organize and maintain both paper and digital filing systems for easy retrieval. Perform regular checks to ensure all files are complete and properly categorized. Manage the storage and archiving of tax season documents. Ensure all scanned documents meet quality standards and are properly labeled. Assist in clerical duties, including sorting and preparing documents for scanning. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care. Support the team by ensuring timely access to required files and records. Troubleshoot minor issues with scanning equipment and coordinate repairs if necessary. Collaborate with other staff members to streamline filing processes. Requirements: Proven experience in clerical or administrative roles, particularly with document handling. Familiarity with electronic filing systems and basic computer applications. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to manage large volumes of paperwork efficiently. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members. Knowledge of document scanning equipment and processes. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment during peak seasons.
