Diamond Creek offers an unparalleled golfing experience to its 325 members and their guests. Located in Banner Elk, North Carolina, Diamond Creek is consistently ranked among the top 100 golf clubs in the United States. The club is open Mid-May thru Mid-October.
The position of Assistant Golf Professional is a seasonal role. The Assistant Golf Professional is expected to assist the Head Golf Professional and the Professional staff in every aspect of the golf operation. This position will include responsibilities within the entire golf operation with duties in tournament operations, merchandising, member reservations and outside services.
Experience Required
PGA Class A Member or Associate actively pursuing PGA membership
Proven record of providing premier member service.
Experience in tournament administration and merchandising.
Proficient in the rules of golf.
Highly organized and detail oriented.
A team oriented and self-motivated individual looking to grow their career as a golf professional.
Essential Responsibilities
Demonstrating professionalism, punctuality, and flexibility in a high-end private club environment
Delivering exceptional customer service while managing daily golf operations
Developing skills in POS system (Clubspot) and gaining familiarity with Golf Genius software
Maintaining cleanliness and visual appeal of the golf shop, including restocking and inventory management
Assisting on merchandise orders for members and their guests
Assisting on all stock orders
Assisting with all tournament operations
Performing club repair
Maintaining and organizing the practice facility, ensuring consistent range ball rotation and clean hitting areas
Assisting the valet team during the busy season
Teach/Shadow golf lessons to Members and Staff
Play golf with members and guests
Accomplishing all professional and personal goals set at the beginning of the season
Benefits
