Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Survey Drafter to support the design and documentation of land development and public works projects. This is a fully desk‑based position with no fieldwork required. The ideal candidate will be proficient in CAD/Civil 3D and capable of producing accurate, detailed survey drawings for a variety of project types, including municipal infrastructure, bridges, building sites, roadways, streetscapes, and residential or commercial developments.
Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain survey records, maps, and technical reports
Analyze survey data and create detailed drawings using CAD software
Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to ensure accuracy and consistency in survey deliverables
Provide occasional support and guidance to field crews
Ensure all drawings meet project specifications, standards, and quality requirements
Essential Skills
Experience as a CAD Technician with a focus on survey drafting
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
Strong understanding of land surveying principles and related software
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with MicroStation
Experience with OpenRoads
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
Work Environment This role is part of a close‑knit team in a supportive, family‑oriented environment that values professional growth and work‑life balance. Standard hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with flexibility as needed.
