Position Overview
Leasing Agent under the overall direction of the Community Manager shows and leases apartments to prospective residents and supports the property’s marketing plan as directed by the Community Manager.

Job Functions, Unique Duties and Responsibilities
Completes lease form or agreement and collects rental deposit.
Ensures the “model” apartments and target apartments are ready for show; maintains work areas and office in clean and orderly manner; aware of the “curb appeal” of the property.
Thorough knowledge of lease terms, specifications and all community policies.
Knowledgeable of required telephone and sales techniques.
Fully informed of current rental rates, sizes, locations and all amenities of property.
Maintains contact with all apartment locator services and local businesses to provide informational material.
Responsible for “shopping” competitive properties.
Develops full knowledge of application information required, screening processes and policies regarding rentals.
Conducts outreach marketing at least once per week.
Develops and maintains an ongoing resident retention program under direction of Community Manager.
Maintains proper maintenance of all resident and property files.
Efficiently and timely processes all required administrative forms, reports and related information.
Courteous, efficient handling of resident requests and complaints.
Maintains a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
Assists Assistant Manager in collection of delinquent rents.
Job Qualifications
Minimum 1 year working in the apartment industry. Prior Customer Service experience strongly preferred.
Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office, the Internet, and Resman management software.
Bi-lingual helpful.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
