What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Assist with account underwriting, quoting, and binding for commercial auto insurance
Process submissions and provide backup support for underwriters
Generate and distribute various communications on behalf of underwriters, including declination letters and quote follow-ups
Build relationships with producers under the supervision of senior underwriters
Complete clerical and administrative duties as assigned to support the underwriting team
What is Required (Qualifications):
Bachelor’s degree in risk management, finance, business, or a related field preferred
0-2 years of experience as an associate underwriter, underwriter, or in a relevant insurance role
Foundational knowledge of insurance principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Experience or coursework related to auto insurance underwriting
Strong analytical skills and ability to learn quickly
Experience in customer service or relationship management within the insurance industry
